“M.J.’s place is absolutely beautiful! We arrived late Friday and he waited up for us and gave us a tour of the house and grounds and offered us something to drink. Saturday morning we woke up to a delicious breakfast with hot coffee and got to know M.J. and his wife. (Also had an incredible breakfast made for us Sunday morning) They are such a welcoming couple and made us feel very comfortable. We had most of our time planned out, but he gave us awesome recommendations of where to go and local places to eat-hook you up gourmet was amazing! Saturday evening when we arrived home he had logs in the fire-pit ready to go. Seriously do not miss your chance to see this beautiful place on earth and meet two wonderful people. We can’t wait to go back!”
“Wow! This Airbnb experience has been above all others. When we arrived to M.J.'s beautiful home in Cape Charles, we had reserved two nights staying the Airstream, because of the weather when we went (cold and very rainy) M.J. very kindly offered us to stay in one of the rooms inside the house, the Parramore Island Suite. This was such a thoughtful offer, as it was surely not the best night to be sleeping in the airstream (although we plan to come back in the warmer months for that!) The room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom connected to the suite was also amazing, again very clean, but also felt very luxurious during our stay, with an amazing shower and heated floor. We came for a trip to unwind and enjoy some time away from the many distractions of city living, and we left so refreshed and happy. M.J. offered great suggestions of things to do in the area, Cape Charles Brewing being our favorite (highly suggest going there!) Above all, this has been the absolute nicest hosting I've experienced on any trip, not only were M.J. and Suzanne some of the kindest people I have met, M.J. prepared us an amazing breakfast each morning, that went above and beyond any of our expectations. I cannot recommend staying here enough, it truly is an amazing respite from the stresses of everyday life.”
“The Airstream is a cozy, comfortable and relaxing venue located in a stunningly beautiful spot on the Chesapeake Bay! The daytime views are breathtaking and the nighttime blanket of stars is spectacular! The Airstream is sparkling clean and very well-appointed with the necessary pillows, linens and comforters, water, coffee and coffeemaker as well as glasses, dishes and utensils. M.J. also provides many additional thoughtful items including wine, night lights and reading lights as well as electric candles for the steps at the trailer and at the house door to the bathroom(with heated floor!)As a gourmet cook M.J. offers delicious breakfasts making among other things outstanding avocado toast and delicious French toast. M.J. and Suzanne are generous, gracious and well-connected hosts with great recommendations for area attractions, hiking, kayaking, biking, sightseeing, shopping, wineries and restaurants. This is a spot you will want to return to again and again!”

The Airstream camper was comfortable and warm. We were in front of a most beautiful backdrop on a gorgeous piece of property, so close to Cape Charles. “We had a wonderfully comfortable, warm and unique experience 'glamping' with MJ. Our two 65lb dogs fit comfortably in the Airstream and were made to feel welcome joining us for breakfast. “This was the perfect little get away from the city for me to relax by the water and for my dog to run, play and be free! “M.J. is an amazing host! The location is on 60 acres with an incredible wide view of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding creeks. The sandy beach, lovely landscaped pool and property added so much to our visit. A beautiful bathroom for our use was beyond our expectations. M.J. served us an incredible breakfast and shared such interesting history of the property...which I loved because my mother was born on the Eastern Shore. This is a jewel for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings! We will return!”

“This is a perfect glamping spot with a picturesque setting. It's so serene and private. The pool is gorgeous if you just want to relax. It is a fun experience sleeping in the 1973 Airstream :) The sound of the crickets lulls you to sleep. The best treat was waking up to see the sunrise!! We used the paddle boards and had a blast. M.J. went out of his way to accommodate us and help us be comfortable and get the most out of our stay. It was so nice to have a gorgeous bathroom for a bit of respite from the heat. The double shower was luxurious. You will not regret your stay at this little slice of paradise.”
“We (along with our dogs, Bonnie & Bosco) thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay! The vintage airstream was very comfortable (air conditioned) and lots of fun! The weather was hot, so we took advantage of the beautifully landscaped salt-water swimming pool and the private beach. Bonnie & Bosco were a bit leery of the water...but were soon honing their dog paddling skills in the bay. We hiked in the nearby Savage Neck Dunes Natural Area Preserve and enjoyed a casual seafood dinner & sunset in on the deck at the Shanty in Cape Charles. Back at the farm, the stars put on a spectacular show in the night's dark sky! Breakfasts with MJ were a real treat. We found that we had mutual acquaintances from earlier careers and enjoyed swapping stores! M.J. and Suzanne were wonderful, charming hosts. We look forward to a future visit!”

“I stayed for a night with my boyfriend and our pup and we all wish we could have stayed longer. This home is something out of a dream. The entire property is gorgeous. The air stream is super clean and comfortable. The best part is the view. It really feels like you’re in a Nicholas Sparks book. Mj and his wife were so sweet and accommodating. We felt right at home. We were thinking about going to explore Cape Charles, but then we realized.. why would we even leave? We were right on the water and were given access to a beautiful pool and a small beach and dock that had a canoe, kayak, and 2 paddle boards for us to use! Our pup even went paddle boarding for the first time! She had the time of her life playing on the beach and running through the yard. We all went out on the canoe to go fishing as well. There is so much life by the water. MJ even cooked us a delicious breakfast! I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you so much MJ! You really went above and beyond to be a great host! We will definitely be booking with you again!”

“I really enjoyed my stay in the airstream. MJ told me I will sleep like a baby and that’s what I did. The weather wasn’t great but still the view you get is incredible. MJ and his son are very nice and welcoming and I really enjoyed our conversations especially since I was traveling alone. Also they could give me good recommendations for dinner since there is not too much around. All in all I can definitely recommend to stay in the airstream (especially while rain).”
“This was the first Air BnB experience for my husband and I, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The Airstream is located just a few footsteps away from a small private beach, where M.J. offered stand up paddle boards and a couple canoes/kayaks for us to use during our stay. Just across the yard is a beautiful pool and seating area! We really enjoyed getting to know M.J., his wife, and their son over breakfast. Very welcoming hosts, and a very laid back experience by the bay! We definitely recommend it!"

“MJ’s place is fantastic. We stayed for 5 nights in the Airstream and would definitely do it again. MJ greeted us as we pulled up the driveway and showed us around the property. The Airstream is in the backyard but he made sure we were familiar with the whole space, including the pool and waterfront (complete with a variety of watercraft) that we had access to use. We brought along our 2 year old pup who loved running around the backyard and swimming in the bay. The Airstream is as you’d expect. It’s comfortable for the little trailer it is and fun. It was hot during our stay so the AC was helpful. There is no running water in the trailer, but you do have a private bath in the house you can use. MJ is incredibly hospitable. He has great stories to tell about the area and its history. He has great suggestions for things to do while you’re on the Eastern Shore. We also got to meet his wife Suzanne who was really nice as well! A big thumbs up for this listing!”

The photos are completely accurate. Highlights: The view! The pool. The outdoor shower. Access to the canoe, kayak, paddle board and sauna. M.J.'s delicious breakfasts. “STOP SCROLLING THROUGH LISTINGS AND BOOK THIS PLACE NOW before someone swipes it from you. I can’t even imagine having a better Airbnb experience, we went in with high expectations and somehow MJ exceeded them all. MJ and his delightful family are warm and funny, good conversationalists, great cooks, generous, and extremely in tune with your every wish or need. They are full of local knowledge and know everybody in the area - if you need a clam guy, they know a clam guy - that type of thing. You’ll just love them all. The grounds are just breathtaking (this is not a house, this is an estate) with plenty of places to kick back - a couple of screened in porches, a great pool, a freshwater pond. MJ put the airstream in a perfect spot out by the water, just steps away from a charming private beach that you wont want to leave (my wife and I came for three nights and stayed five!). If you are looking for an idyllic place on the water to restore your soul, you’ve found it. I’ll say it again - just stop reading and book it. This is exactly the kind of gem on Airbnb you are always hoping to find. The airstream is well appointed, full of storage, clean, and a ton of whimsical fun. No musty odors or anything funky at all you may expect to find in a 70’s airstream. Good AC, very comfy beds - we had all day rain one day and we just stayed in bed and read for a big chunk of it - happy as clams. This is world class kayaking - go right off the beach and there are so many inlets and creeks to explore you’ll never see it all. Go left out into the bay for the open skies and super sunsets. The water is very shallow and you can walk way out there. There are some fantastic sandbars all around - we got clams, oysters, and a couple bottles of wine and had sunset dinners out on the sandbars a few nights - those moments will never be forgotten. Perfect. A+. Top notch. Book it.”

“Let me just say this....The photos give it no justice. This place exceeded our expectations. And the photos are what sold us in the first place. MJ was a top notch host from the second we booked out stay. Before arriving he was extra courteous in providing us directions, just in case the GPS was not working. Upon driving onto the property you are greeted with a stunning view of the farm, beautiful trees and a truly magnificent farm home. Walking around to the Airstream you are greeted with hands down one of the best views I have experienced, I travel the globe. Just stunning. The trailer was clean, fridge stocked with drinks and a bottle of wine, filtered water, etc. there is a saltwater pool, refreshing! The private dock and beach is quaint and secluded. Every single touch was perfect, I mean. We had tiki torches in front our trailer awaiting out arrival back from town, another fabulous touch. He also set out a grill for our use as well. Definitely will take advantage of this next time. There DEFINITELY will be a next time. Jump on this property before it fills up. Hands down the best Airbnb experience I have had and MJ was a truly informative and amazing host. Make sure he cooks you his stellar breakfast. Get on this and truly enjoy! Thanks MJ.”
